Spartacus: Is It Still Cutting Edge ‘The Bomb’?

Surely, Andy Whitfield’s death after he succumbed to non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma totally blew and left a hole at the heart of the show. Yet most viewers make it a point still to give Spartacus a chance to get into the trend once more. Spartacus, the one-time gladiator still fishes around in the slave trader’s fatal wound and pulls out his entrails as Spartacus comes back to the screen just the other night, it’s definitely clear as crystal that it had lost none of its eyes from the bloodshed. What’s brilliant is that we still get to see familiar faces such as Manu Bennett (Crixus), and Peter Mensah (Oenamaus), although there’s just one face who’d be permanently absent has cast shadows over proceedings.  See how the television series gets in stride when you watch Spartacus Vengeance Episode 3: The Greater Good online airs on February 10, 2012.

Certainly, Andy Whitfield’s demise left a gaping hole at the very heart of the show, and while Spartacus is the role which men would definitely kill for his replacement Liam McIntyre, his were not the easy gladiator kicks to fit in. with much difficulty but more room for improvement of course. Yet the big theme o the premier was surely a good one: there’s boiling revenge which clashes with the common good, and there’s Spartacus, who carelessly endangered the slave horde of rebellion after he tried to chase Glaber. And while he is no longer a slave to Rome’s, he is still a slave to his own past and the dire memory of his dead wife, something Mira can’t help but notice.

One of the bigger surprises of the premiere was that Lucretia survived being stabbed to death by her lover Crixus, even if her child did not. Presently, Lucretia withstood a babbling half-crazed shadow of her own self , it seems a safer bet she will still be back to her own fearsome best and more hungry for blood at some point.

Of course, we don’t take chances, and better yet, let’s take a trip back to the previous episode of the television series. Just watch Spartacus Vengeance Episode 3: The Greater Good online. And frankly, here’s what we have for the previous episode. Spartacus and his men liberated a Roman villa, yet its slaves were worried about something more. Oenamaus threw himself into the brutal Pits, and Glaber supported Lucretia’s prophecies, in spite of Ilithyia’s protests.
