Alison once labeled her, ‘shy on the streets, sexy in the sheets’, because even if she’s more timid than a possum, she’s a closet lesbian who is still trying to build a name for herself. Consider her a prized gem who is still trying to prove herself worthy of people’s respect and love. A snuggle of kisses from her fellow cherry chapstick, that’s what all she has. And even if Em’s parents initially struggle with her being gay, they still managed to accept her as she is.

Of the four girls, Emily is considered closest with the late Alison, whom she was also in love with. (sweet crisis, what is this?!). There was also one point in Emily’s life when she thought she saw Alison come back from the dead after she passed out from carbon monoxide poisoning, telling our golden girl that she knows A’s identity, but fears that Emily might be killed if she reveals it. It’s still yet unclear whether Alison’s sudden appearance was just a hallucinatory response to the poisoning or grim reality.
