One of the most frequent reasons why women go gooey-eyed and giddy at the thought of the upcoming movie The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1? Well, the man who’s got those piercing eyes just like Ian Somerhalder, that chiseled chin that just defies the work of the greatest con men in history, and that soft, silken voice that definitely would make (if not Bella’s) women’s toes curling upon hearing it: Robert Pattinson! Who would never miss him and that gorgeous, gorgeous smirk? And when asked where would the phenomenal RPatz be when he wasn’t cast as one of the leading characters in the Twilight Saga that made him a steamy character and a household name? “Probably dead,” he said, laughing at one of the reports from MTV News. One of these days, Pattinson sat down and gave his best on an interview with Josh Horowitz, so they could both look back at what the series had been for him, did it ever leave an indelible mark in his personality as an actor and as a person? Simply put, the actor said that without the vampire phenomenon, he wouldn’t have known what happened to him. And for a little while now, the English-born actor isn’t certain whether acting is truly his calling, and still wrestled with the question of continuing to appear in front of the press and the rolling camera as well.
“I think a lot of actors think about that all the time,” he said.
“You have to confront your insecurities quite a lot, and I have plenty, plentyof insecurities,” he laughed. “Even more. Before, you could kind of bullsh– yourself all the time.”
For him, dim-witted reason allows a little space for honesty when it comes to self-image. “If no one cares about you, you can be like, ‘I’m the greatest person in the whole world,’ ” he said. “You can be completely delusional.”
And at 25, Pattinson says that there is not even an inkling of vanity anymore. He also states that he hadn’t wielded himself on the back for his exquisite (agree!) good looks in a long while now that he sometimes feels fed up and says he is “almost sick at the sight of him. I’m getting older as well. I’m almost 50.”
