She may have made some really awkward poses n the red carpet in her blooming days, but she’s definitely trimmed to perfection now! See Lea Michele’s lean and gorgeous gams this week when you check out Glee Season 3 Episode 7: I Kissed a Girl. Hey, hold your horses. Yes, I just said, she trimmed down! Don’t get too excited, because the Glee star will be detailing all of her ups and downs on the road (and that includes trimming on her weight) in the upcoming December issue of Allure.
The now-25 year old actress reminisces her struggle to perfection, back from the time when she was still a high school student, to just playing a William McKinley kid on Glee. She declares that she’s got some especially disturbing meeting which left her singing the blues.
Also, Michele recalls that when she was 15, she and her mom consulted a manager who returned their call saying ‘You have to get a nose job in order for me to work with you,’ she tells Allure. Out comes Mama saying ‘Barbra Streisand never got a nose job. You’re not getting a nose job.’ That was just shortly before she realized who Barbra was, the ultimate fantasy of aspiring divas and still little girls like her.
Albeit the rude turn-down, Michele stuck to acting until the end, and thankfully, her nose has nothing to do with her being noticed. When she turned 20, Michele landed a role in the original Broadway cast of ‘Spring Awakening’, that calls for her to get down and dirty with co-star Jonathan Groff. Don’t worry, you won’t see her naked on Glee Season 3 Episode 7: I Kissed a Girl, which will be out on TVs on November 29, 2011.
“Every night he dropped his pants and I took off my top,” she says. “So depending on where you were seated — on one side of us or the other — people who were going to see the show would be like, ‘What side were you sitting on? The butt or the boobs?’ ” after she landed success in New York City’s theater world, the Glee diva soon set her sights on conquering tinseltown, where she first auditioned for Glee. Within two months, her entire life changed, as she won the part of Rachel Berry, sometimes for the glamorous, sometimes for the worse.
Worse means that back in Broadway, the word ‘diva’ was electric’, and in LA, it’s not like that. Soon, rumors had spread like wildfire that she’s been turning into an airhead, especially when a photographer at a time Magazine party asked who she was. Allegedly, she replied ‘Sarah Palin,’ which was immediately interpreted as ‘Don’t you know who I am?’
“I was being silly,” Michele explains. “But anyway, that’s a huge thing I learned … Not everybody knows you and has the same sense of humor. At the same time, if I couldn’t be myself, I’d lose my mind.”
But that’s not the very last time she turned in for a scandal.
Michel was also scrutinized during a photo shoot that she may have a possible eating disorder when she suddenly looked much thinner over the summer of 2010. That went overboard and she revealed that she lost pounds due to a surgery when she had an infection in her jaw.
“People get confused, like, you know, I just eat grass,” she jokes about her vegan diet. “I’m half Italian. I can eat some b—-es under the table.”
Michele also said that albeit Gwyneth Paltrow’s atrocious reputation to work with, she found her just as lovely. : “I don’t know what people are smoking, because this woman is one of the most talented, beautiful, smart but laid-back, cool people I’ve worked with. That’s what I hate about this business. Before I met her, I was intimidated because of her image. But she’s the greatest.”
The new issue of Allure featuring Michele hits newsstands Nov. 22. And Glee Season 3 Episode 7: I Kissed a Girl will be just soon!
